Do I know you, I know you a little better now?

In your eyes, the want of something new
The search is what grips you
To see the beauty in nature…
In your mind, the magic has long begun
The image of the fun that is yet to come
To live in the world around…

All I knew was I know you so
I didn’t probe enough to know you more
And this is where I hit shore that
Do I know you, I know you a little better now?

Living in the life of knowing all
Seeing those illusions rise and fall
This is all I’m left with after all
Do I know you, I know you a little better now?

In your lips, the words stay trapped
The silent smile is all we can have
To believe in magic that surrounds…
In your heart, the secret’s announced
Telling the soul about the news to be pronounced
Of a blessing that all share…

All I knew was I know you so
I didn’t probe enough to know you more
And this is where I hit shore that
Do I know you, I know you a little better now?

Living in the life of knowing all
Seeing those illusions rise and fall
This is all I’m left with after all
Do I know you, I know you a little better now?

It’s been my own veil that had hidden you
My open front door that you had taken to
Somewhere you don’t belong…
It’s been my own insecurity
Locked me out and gave no clarity to
See in the heart of the storm…

All I knew is now all gone
Blown by the wind and swept by the storm
I just try to write another song about
Do I know you, I know you a little better now?
Hoping that someone reading this today
Would not repeat what I did that day
Learning from the mistakes of yesterday and ask themselves that…

Do I know you, I know you a little better now?
