If In My Hands

 

I would have had changed the season and made some mood

Changed a couple of hearts and inspired some good

I would have had leaves and made it more green

Wouldn’t it be wonderful, if in my hands it would have all been?

 

I would have had pulled you close and never let you far

Listened to you achievements and appreciated the creation you are

I would have had wiped my tears and made my pride to be seen

Wouldn’t it be wonderful, if in my hands it would have all been?

 

I would have had touched you till you felt

Kept holding on till the agitation had melt

I would have had kicked the dust and ever keep it clean

Wouldn’t it be wonderful, if in my hands it would have all been?

 

I would have had waited till late and stand by the gate

Opened up the refreshments and ensured that you ate

I would have had connected the alphabets and explained what it could possibly mean

Wouldn’t it be wonderful, if in my hands it would have all been?

 

I would have had done all this if my hands were intact

Coming to see, they never needed the hands in fact

I would have had actually really lived, if I wouldn’t be this ignorant, egoistic and mean

It is truly wonderful, how in my own hands it always had been.
